They are still at it, crushing bugs in the new upgraded engine and also working on yet another module (obscure East east front) and playtesting the lot. There are some interesting community projects also. But not close to release AFAIK.

Gotta appreciate when a company gives away their product for free, so people can learn the game, and see if they enjoy it. The free basic engine, with the intro scenarios, provides lots of content to sink your teeth into.

Not a thing about it. They are testing the new Battles of Khalkhin Gol, japan vrs urss, but the Patton one is still MIA.
Shouldn't that be Vol: 8 - Bradley holds Patton at bay?

Have always had this on my radar but I own all of the first game, is there really anything in version 2 that warrants purchasing all over again?

Well version 2 is actually free, it’s the add on modules (DLC’s) you have to buy. They are rarely on sale. Same business model as Order of Battle World War 2.

Thanks ya, I had the core game been playing around with it. Some nice improvements over version 1, some are meh but its a game I really enjoyed back in the day. Really think the AI and the chain of command modelling is great so I decided to pick up the pack while on sale.
Just downloaded. Any recommended tutorials?

Great, it's an amazing game. It really has some concepts that made it so complete, as an experience on to be a real commander with all the supply and command problems that comes into the job. These ones are good to start:

In their forum, he said that it was in testing phase and soon to release, we'll have to wait a little more perhaps.
They have been testing it for a while, should damn near be perfect when released I would imagine.
