A touching scene .-
I am always struck by the war cemeteries.

Sounds like our itineraries were much the same. I also visited the Ranger Museum in Grande Camp. The German Cemetary is in La Cambe, as somber as the American cemetary was, I found the German cemetary even more bleak. The contrast was striking.

Still have to visit the Normandy landing sites one day. I think it will be in a couple of years during a holiday when my son is a little older so that he understands what happened there and why. I hope I can help in that department.
