Most of the time this brigade was operating close to Pakistanian borders.
Brigade was involved in many different operations in period from 1979 to 1989.
At certain periods in time this brigade was marked as “strengthened” because sometimes it had rocket artillery battery, 152 mm self-propelled gun battery and separate helicopter regiment in its disposal.
