The 10.5 cm schwere Kanone 18 field guns were designed in the late 1920s and entered production in 1934. They were made by firms Krupp and Rheinmetall, with Krupp building the carriages and Rheinmetall building the guns.-
These weapons were generally attached to artillery battalions or coastal defense units of the German Army, but at times they were seen in service with infantry or armored divisions, though this was rare.-
In general, these weapons were considered too heavy and too unwieldy for the fire power they produced, and this was among the reasons for the termination of the design's production in Aug 1943.-
After WW2, Albania and Bulgaria employed these field guns for several more years.-
Caliber 105.000 mm
Barrel Length 5,460 mm
Weight 5642.000 kg
Ammunition Weight 15.10 kg
Rate of Fire 6 rounds/min
Range 19,075 m
Muzzle Velocity 835 m/s
