Just putting a plug in on my favorite game. Squad will be free to play next weekend on steam. Any of you who have been curious and wanting to give it a test run before you give up the shekels, its a great time to try it out. It will also be 50% off all weekend while this is happening.

The latest v9 Alpha was released, which gave the game a lot of balance, even the insurgents can kick the American's and Russians' asses with some coordination.

New vehicles included in v9:
MT-LB (first tracked vehicle implemented)
BDRM-2
Stryker ICV
Minsk 400 motorcycle
Ural 4320 Transport
There were a variation of armaments implemented for these vehicles depending on the faction. This update also included the first introduction of heavier armaments with the 30mm on the BTR-82A and on the MT-LB for the Russians and the Militia. In addition to this there were a few other things that were implemented which will really change the pace of the game in terms of how objectives will be controlled and captured with the new FOB-HAB system.
