Good morning,

I'm looking for a few games of CMRT.

For no explainable reason, my CMRT executable stopped working for a few days then started to work again.

I am open to QBs or scenarios.

I'd be interested in playing, I have not played any muliplayer games yet, QB or scenario is fine and I don't have a preference as far as which army to play.

Hi TTB :),

shall we play a large Russian attack in a mirror match on difficulty "elite"? This would be two games (two results for the ladder), we each play one as Russians (attacker) and one as Germans (defender) on the same map.

I would like to play with the "Wynter Green Heavy Tank Rule" which means that we must buy three "normal"/medium tanks (StuGs, Panzer IV, T-34 etc.) first before we can buy one big tank (Tiger, Panther (Panther does not count as a medium tank), IS-1, IS-2 etc.) and second rule is the Gentlemen's Golden Rule: No pre-planned arty from the defender into the attacker's setup zone.

Would this be OK for you?

Do you use dropbox?

If you like, i'm ready for a medium size QB. I prefer German side, if i can play the defensive side in an assault/attack/probe battle, i can also send back my turns very quickly.. Elite level (Ladder game or not, isn't a problem) - Normal rarity - eventually no TRP and No Rockets (too cheap and powerful) . Let me know

i suppose you are ok with my PBEM suggestions for force selection.
Do you prefer a Russian assault in urban area, or you prefer more open battlefield ?
I forgot to mention that attacker is allowed (and also expected) to order Artillery attack on turn 1 (preplanned at start or delayed).. foe defender i think it's more realistic to not allow any preplanned arty strike (attacking timing is not known).. i prefer avoid TRP, but eventually use any heavy caliber artillery (except rockets or nebelferwer-- too cheap, and we should also play on a medium size battlefield)
After your response, i will send you some map proposal (2 or 3).. then you can choice the one you prefer.

I also have dropbox, but for some unknown reason i never used H2H helper (i don't have many games in progress at once..probably this was original reason).. 45/50 min for the attack is ok for you ?

Yup, suggestions sound fine.

How about Urban terrain? No TRPS, No MLRS of any sort.

I don't use H2H, either. Just plain old dropbox.

I've only just started playing CM2. What is the difference in Elite versus Ironman? I used to play maximum FOW with CM1; is there a flaw with Ironman in CM2? Just curious.

Iron adds only a lot of additional micro-management..
Elite is fine, it is also the reccomended difficulty level for each battle and Campaign here on the FGM.
Elite level also has FOW and realistic delays for arty call, but your units are not hidden when you select other (your) units.. With Iron level, anyway, deselecting any unit, shows all your units also.. so it is only frustrating..

MLRS ? i don't understand that

I looked at this maps.. in order of my personal preference (but you can choose what you want.. i'm just a bit intimidated by increasing size of the lower levels)
1) ...069
2) ...021
3) ...019
4) ...065
5) ...055

I also looked at an urban map, but it seemed huge..and i think attacker could require more than 45 min..
I would prefer a more immediate, brutal fight (and so a small/medium map).. no much delay before combat starts..
If you find other interesting maps let me know..

Are you fine playing Red Army ?
I also propose to limit Armoured force at no more than 60/65 % of total points..

Waiting your decisions to start!

Forgive me, but where are these maps you've listed?

Red Army is fine with me. Limited armored force is good, too.

I guess once I find where to look at the maps, we can start! Now that I think of it, just pick the map you think is best and we can begin.
 
Hi!

If you go to Quick Battle and select Medium Size, the map selector shows a list where i only reported the last part (a number with 2 or 3 digits.. Example : City Assault 047...)
 
Ok, just checked out the maps. How about we go with map 21?

File received.. This night i will setup my defense.. This usually requires time, but i think that tomorrow you will get my setup and battle will start!
Remember that as attacker, you can eventually preplan any arty strike on my defensive positions! This is perfectly ok (not for the defender.. unrealistic)
