A little help please!

I got this cool background sound mod from BF repository. "background combat sound replacement"
made by Jaksteri.
I´ve listened to it and I like it alot. But it wont play in the actual game. I´ve put it into the right folder and all that. Could it be that I need to convert it into some other format or something?

no, you need to rename your file so it is the last file on your folder and it overrides any previous (existing) one

Another possibility: Are you Mac or Windows user? For Mac soundfiles have to be in a very specific format to be actually played in the game. Not all soundmodders are aware of that fact so maybe this could be the problem...

Exactly what am I to rename it to?
I only have default background sound as is, which is frightfully dull.

I tried to rename it to zzzzz so that it went last, still nothing happened.
I use Windows.

Put the mod in a folder named Z and put that folder in the main 'Z' folder.

What format is the sound file? I think WAV sound files only work in CMx2.

I´m giving up on this mod. It was suposed to be pretty straight forward,but.

Sorry to say that it works both with CMFI and CMBN (I changed mine with this one now)

Don't forget that for CMFI the path of the mods is under your documents folder

I finally figured it out and made it work.
It turned out my computer was blocking it!
