Not to mention it has just received a huge update, the first one in over 5 years and it has been announced that the updates will keep coming as they now have a person dedicated to updating the game at VR Designs.

Yeah sure.
Make sure you've update to the Phoenix Beta.

You can manually patch your Advanced Tactics game to the latest Open Beta Phoenix Version.

Note this is the patch for the MATRIX version! For the Steam version you'll need to enable the Steam Open Beta in the Steam interface (right click on the game in your library list and click Properties>Betas)

What settings should we use? -- Medium? One city start? Stone Age? -- lots of sea or mostly land?

How about a small - normal world - climate (you can choose) - one city start - normal research

Sounds like a plan, we used to email back in the old days.

Started up something -- I got Japanese, you got Germans ... mostly land with some odd, tiny resource islands in south.

Have set up new dropbox -- you should get invite -- first turn file is in there waiting.

Yes, we can set up a three way war — emails should work too... the files are not that big.
Same settings as our two way war.
