Gentlemen, I got an idea for a campaign for the winter months..
It's set during the Torch landings, but completely fictional. I am using a map of the Algeria-Tunisia border area.
The teams OOB will be no more than 5 - 6 Battalions per side (Anglo-American forces V's Italian/German) with some armor plus limited heavy tanks/artillery. With so few forces I'd like to give teams the strategic options of trying to out flank their opponent.
Each inf unit is a inf company.
However, the battle will be fought over hilly wooded terrain in some place, see map below. I've scaled down the map about 1:5.
I've done an example map (attached) in CMFI of the Djebel Addeda area (yellowish square) which is located along the coast.
I'm working on the unit graphics and working on a rule set. I won't have it ready for a few months yet.
Campaign Map.
Each hex is a 500m, battle maps can be 1KM x 1KM or bigger. The rivers will look like drainage ditcthes rather than streams due to the change in elevations in the CM maps, unless I've missed some trick.
