Mission:
We are a Spetsnaz team tasked with a covert raid and assassination of a NAPA leader. His exact coordinates are unknown, but Western intelligence has provided his known residence. This individual is suspected of being involved in last year's terrorist attack along the border. Our equipment includes 1st and 2nd-generation night vision devices. Primary insertion and extraction is by unmarked helicopter, secondary extraction is by boat.

Rules of Engagement:
  • Engage CDF forces only as a last resort if the mission is compromised.
  • Weapons free on insurgents.
Plausible Deniability:
  • Leave no trace of Spetsnaz involvement.
  • Recover all specialist equipment if casualties occur (e.g., suppressors, NVGs, radios, signal plans).
  • Do not, under any circumstances, allow yourselves to be captured.
Documents:
  • The squad leader is equipped with a frequency switching codebook for the LR relay to signal extraction.
  • He is also equipped with a photograph of the target.
Radio Usage:
  • Radio silence near CDF outposts is mandatory. They may have RDF equipment.
  • If radio use is unavoidable, limit transmissions to 2-3 second bursts.
  • Low-powered radios are in use to reduce detection, but they have limited range, especially in dense forested areas.
  • This is a good mission to practice general sound discipline in enemy proximity.
Curfew:
  • Curfew starts at 23:00
    • Vehicles: Shot on sight by CDF forces.
    • Pedestrians: Reported for investigation; patrols will be dispatched.
  • Many roads are blocked by CDF checkpoints.

Signal
Primary extraction: Signal the helicopter through the long range radio relay, using the provided frequencies.
Secondary extraction: Signal the boat using a flashlight, three 1 second flashes with 1 second delay.

Situation
The Chernarussian Defense Force (CDF) has taken measures to contain and control insurgent groups operating within Chernarus, namely the NAPA (National Party) and the Chernarussian Movement of the Red Star (ChDKZ, colloquially known as the Chedaki). Tensions have risen in the region, particularly around the Russian border, which has been claimed by the Russian Federation to be a hotbed of illegal activities including arms trafficking, smuggling, and insurgent movements.
