This is a mission in the Shock Force setting, following these three missions. We will be returning to the role of the recon squad from the first mission.

Situation
Main operation in this AO is an attack to clear a ground path to the Landay airfield and relief the troops there, who have been in constant contact with the enemy for couple of days. Aerial resupply and close airsupport is grounded due to heavy MANPADS presence. All artillery support is also reserved for this attack.
Syrians are trying seize the opportunity and crush the troops in the airfield. The surviving Syrian army troops still in the AO are sieging the airfield and many of the local militias are moving there or already have done so.
This hopefully gives our team a chance to secure a Syrian army depot to the northwest and do some route clearance.
Mission
Our team has been holding at Idak just southeast of FOB Nauzad. That will be our first stop. The base was struck by long range fires and abandoned by the Syrian army, it has been under our direct surveillance and is still unoccupied. Locals have used the cover of night to sneak in there, no doubt to recover usable gear and booby trap the place.
First order of business is to clear FOB Nauzad of mines, IEDs and traps.
Then we will follow the road marked with blue arrows on the map through the town of Khas to FOB Obeh. We will clear this road of mines, IEDs and of enemy troops, finally securing FOB Obeh.
Properly ID your targets and be careful with grenades in towns, there are bound to be civilians around.
Enemy
With the battle at the airfield and it's surrounding towns sucking up most of the enemy's strength, we'll be facing diminished numbers of militia members/uncons, maybe some local police.
Friendly assets
Recon squad with few MRAPs
A British army engineer with a Panama Remotely Operated Vehicle has been attached to the squad for this mission.
The Panama ROV is a Land Rover Defender that has been turned into a ground drone with a ground penetrating radar. This radar can easily detect mines and IEDs but it has very short range(10m max).
