Situation
The Kunduz region has seen it's fair share of battles. First it was the soviets fighting the mujaheddin, then it was us fighting the Taliban, and now it's the Afghan National Army's turn. The Taliban has once again infiltrated the region in numbers, hiding out in the "green zone" and ambushing ANA patrols. The ANA has reached out to the coalition for help with this problem and a task force has been dispatched from Mazar-E-Sharif airbase.

Mission
The American lead task force is set to conduct operations, and first on the agenda is locating the Taliban hot spots within the green zone. Our USMC patrol team is dispatched from Lugopa airfield and tasked with reconnoitering the green zone from the surrounding high ground. We have been warned to not enter the green zone ourself unless absolutely necessary to avoid being dragged into close quarters combat, so pack for long range.

We are to patrol the green zone along it's length and to relay Taliban positions, and if possible, destroy them. We have been reinforced with an anti-materiel team to deal with possible Taliban vehicles at range.

The local ANA commander assures us that there are no IED's along our assigned patrol route, and that he himself have driven the route yesterday.

Execution
We are to patrol the green zone along it's length from the safety of the surrounding valley.
  • We should stop every so often (every 500m-1.2km) to reconnoiter the green zone.
  • We are to mark enemy locations and their approximate size, to prepare for future incursions into the green zone.
  • If possible we are to attempt to dislodge or destroy the enemy.

Notes
Spawn time is set to 2 minutes to dissuade going CQB with the enemy.
This would be a good mission to teach using maps and calling in fire support.
It's also a good mission to train medium to long range shooting with marksman rifles and machineguns.

Note that the modlist was updated to remove the morale system mod that seems to be semi broken.

Should be good for this one. What’s the settings for Marksman/Sniper, range card, windage etc. or more simplified?
Ace ballistic is on and the marksman is equipped with a range card. The spotter is equipped with a Kestrel for getting wind speed / atmospheric data and ATragMX ballistic computer if needed. But the rifles are semi automatic so you should be able to simply use the rangecard and adjust of your first shot.

Edit: I should say that marksmanship is not really required for the mission, and you should be good with just rangefinder and a range card for the most part.
