I'd have liked it to be kept with all parts original, but I understand that you have to modernize some things if you still want to fly that plane nowadays... Rather that than not having one fly at all!
Just excellent! Take the time to take a look. Occasionally an air show will come to my area that includes a B-17. And sometimes they offer rides to the public. And every time so far they are just a bit more than I feel comfortable spending. Like last time I think it was $475 for about 40 minutes. Next time? Gonna do it! Lifetime memory just waiting to happen.

If I'd only got the chance to fly with one of these... Well, never gonna happen. Seeing one live neither. Sometimes it IS unlucky being born in Germany. :sad:
