I m always getting excited with stories like that.
I think that flag's place should be at a museum for everybody to see and not in a private collection.

Agreed. I hate it when these kind of stuff just rots away in some random guy's private collection.

I went to see the HMS Victory 10 years ago at the historic Portsmouth Navy Yard and this flag should go there as part of the exhibits.
I'm thinking about putting in a bid. Would look great over my pc.
By the way, anyone know what material these naval flags were made of back then? It still looks pretty robust in the picture....
@Wellsonian most naval flags of that era were made from linen.
Maybe we could get this for the monthly patron subscriber prize?
