Just to add my vote for the V2 - one of my favourite tributes to the developer...

 
I'll vote for practical implementation of various (earlier) inventions, not just single invetions like computer, jet engine, etc...
Many things were invented and patented much before WW2, and found their way to the market and mass production during and after the war...
 
All the good ones are named already :). Not an invention but the idea of nations coexisting in a global community happened in part because of WW2. It became obvious that nations should support each other, hence NATO.
