Booties New York trip...

Im aware looking through other peoples holidays is tedious but I had such a great time I thought I would share a few pics and tell you guys what I did.

Heathrow on 23rd... we flew on a Boeing 777.

Coming in to land at Newark after 8 hour flight.

Picked up by private SUV and deposited at my hotel.

A quick look round the room and then off to Times Square before it gets dark. Times Sqaure is really amazing...a real tourist hotspot althought the guys on the streets offering everything from Comedy Club tickets to sight seeing bus tours got rather annoying. Add to that the panhandlers and the Salvation Army ringing their bells.... a real cacophony of noise. And the taxi drivers... move stop move stop honk.. move honk... stop honk... they use their horns more than any country in the world!!

After Times Square it was of to Madame Tussauds.

My wife sticks the old one two on Muhammed Ali and I rock out with Johnny Cash... HAHA

And that was day 1... we were exhausted after the flight and had been on the go for nearly 24 hours... but after only 6 hours sleep we were up and out again onto a downtown Manhattan bus tour.

Looks very interesting. I´m looking forward to how that continues.

Then a quick stop at Battery Park.

It was to cold for the ferry so we walked to South Seaport passing the NYPD museum en route.

I try to look mean.

Before locking the wife up.

Meaning I can look at the exhibits in peace.

It was quite moving seeing the roll of honour for those that died on 9/11.

At South Seaport I let the wife go shopping whilst I went to the Bodies exhibition.

I finished it and she was still shopping so I went in to a local pub and had a few Jacks and coke passing the time speaking to some New Yoikers... LOL

We then went onto the Brooklyn Bridge.

Im scared of heights and we were 200ft up walking on wooden slats that creaked and you could see thru.. hence the closed eyes.

That was pretty much day 2 complete. Day 3 was another early rise and of to see the Macys Parade... far too many people at it so you couldnt actually see that much without being up and about at 6am to grab a space.

I got hacked of with the crowds so bailed out and dragged the wife to the King Tuttankhamun exhibit at teh Discovery building just of Times Square.

We did a bit more shopping before going on a tour of Uptown Manhattan where we seen where John Lennon got shot and other interesting places.

Day 3 ended with a night time tour of Brooklyn. Enjoyable but the rain was heavy and you cant see much from inside a bus when its pelting down.

Day 4 was started early with a walk to Central Park and a visit to the zoo.

The rest of the day was spent shopping!!

Friday started at Ripleys Believe it or Not.

Then a walk down Broadway before buying tickets for American Idiot.

Went to see American Idiot on Broadway that night.

Day 6 - A long walk on a very cold day to the USS Intrepid.
