Heres a first from me.

- Arma2 OA 1.54 (BAF is optional, but not required)
- 5 player MP COOP

Background
It started as a two person mulitplayer mission. I like flyiing the choppers, figured someone would like to shoot ;)
I left the civie in, i used him to check on the enemy whilst testing the mission.
And later on, also made the gunner positions playable on the chinook.Although at present, i dont think you'll have much to shoot at from there.

Rename the file by removing the '.doc' at the end; so it ends with .pbo.
Drop it in your mpmissions folder and start your own server to play it as single player
 
I so wish I had ARMA II. :pray:

Looks a great idea for a mission Breaklight, good job.
 
Yeah, that emergency landing didn't quite work out the way I intended it to... I'll practice them more. And be prepared to eject next time - just in case. :biggrin1:
 
After a few good test runs with Bootie and Earl:
1> Make the chinook pilot playable. Still cant get the ai to lnd the Bird at the FOB. due to enemy forces in the vacinity??
2> Make support elements availbly for the human players, should you crash land with your apache.
3> Change the weapon loadout of the apache from 8 hellfires to 16, instead of FFAR rockets.
 
Breaklight and I played this fantastic mission created by Breaklight last night as a warm up.

Great thing about this game is when you come into do the landing at the FOB, ACDC starts blares away. Awesome feature Breaklight.

Mission 1:

I was the Chinook Pilot in the glorious RAF lifting some troops into a OB. I made it into the area but on the first occasion I was forced down by enemy fire and in the end lack of fuel.

Mission 2:

Still in the Chinook but a more successful campaign. Touched down in the FOB and waited for my boys to disembark, but they didn't want a bar of it and stayed on the bird.

But as we scanned for the next target the dreaded red light of low fuel came on

Yeah, it's pretty tough flying an Apache in this terrain without an escort. I believe they usually pair the Apaches up, so here's a bigger chance to recognize and identify threats.

Would be a nice addition in case of more players - add another Chinook and another Apache so eveyone can have some flying fun...
 
The flying was great, music made me feel like I was there in some movie. Just need some more gas, both birds run out pretty quickly but maybe thats something we can't change.
 
Gas is sufficient - you oly run out of it if you take too much damage and your gas tank gets perforated. No idea how long you can stay up with an undamaged bird, but I guess you could fly about 30min straight.
 
Oh, makes sense then, as my first Chinook crashed after a short while.
 
Finally got the WIP back. Working on two apache gunships plus a chinook extra was i belive the advice?
