A bomb attack at Moscow's Domodedovo airport has killed at least 35 people and injured more than 100 - many of them critically, officials say.

Investigators say the explosion, which happened in the arrivals hall, was caused by a suicide bomber.

President Dmitry Medvedev vowed that those behind the attack would be tracked down and punished.

He ordered increased security across Russia's capital, its airports and other transport hubs.

It seems that there were huge gaps at their security procedures as the bomber, according to news agensies and eye witnesses, was carrying a suitcase(probably filled with explosives) which he detonated
when it reached inside the arrivals area, which in all airports is closed for non passengers

Well, I visit Domodedovo a few times a year, but can't remember if it has security procedures for arrival zone. We usually have them before proceeding into pre-flight waiting zone, but not for who already landed. Thus, as I realized for now, passengers can feel safe in the airplane, but not in the airport. Maybe I missed something, however.

Looks like the bad guys are adjusting their tactics in response to heightened security procedures.
