Change Resolution for CM Games

I am just getting settled in my new home, and have finally hooked up my PC. When I load my CM games, they work just fine. However, the resolution looks blurry. I recall that there is a simple way to correct (i.e., heighten) the resolution, but I cannot remember how to do it. Can one of you fine persons clue me in? Thanks in advance.
If for some reason the game is refusing your desired or default resolution. You can manually edit the 'display size.txt' file located here: users/name/docs/bf/cm/cmfb

Also recall the Anti-Aliasing setting can make text blurry sometimes. Check your graphics card setting for this one.

CM games are a pain to set up properly, in terms of graphics.
Here are my Nvidia Control panel settings - these took a while to work out back then, to get rid of blurred text, artifacts, distorted textures etc.
They may not work for you though!

You can find the "display size.txt" file where your Combat Mission games are installed. On my pc (Windows 10) it's the original path:

Documents / Battlefront / Combat Mission / Black Sea (as an example) .

Then click on "Black Sea" on the left and see the four folders on the right:

Game Files
User Data
display size.txt
Preferences.pfc

Then open "Display Size.txt" with a double click. There you will find three "zeros". Put in the resolution of your monitor or the resolution that you would like to use.
In my case the usual and recommended resolution for my monitor is 3840 x 2160 with text size set on 200%.

So I set the resolution in "display size.txt" to 3840 2160 0 . The "zero" in the third place is for the refresh rate of the monitor (frames per second).
The "zero" means that you leave this setting to your system.

Due to the text size setting of 200% in my PC system settings I have a pretty good resolution in my CM games, but the user interface is also very good readable and recognizable
for me old blind man. ;)

I hope, I could help you.

FWIW: I had issues with 'threaded optimization' on AUTO, so disabled it for CMx2 profiles (game doesn't support it anyway AFAIK).

However I have 'trilinear optimization' turned on, looks a bit better imo and no impact on fps.

Thanks - I must have tried both back then, didn't see a difference, so I kept it off.
