Guys, with CM:Bulge appearing sometime in the future I'm taking time to tinker with my Combat Mission personal result data recorder. The last update the WW2 version got was when CMRT came out.

Besides the new formations and details I'll have to code in, at the same time I'm looking to add in some 'Achievements' or 'War Patches' or whatever sounds good. JuJu sort of did something similar recently, but I'm looking to do something more humorous that can help show if you're a CM addict or not and really test if you've played the games to their fullest. It will also be fully automated and award the achievements based on results that have been entered into the main data entry page.

From the community here, we have a few comedians, looking for some ideas for achievement titles and what conditions would need to be met for them to be awarded. Please note they would need to proven via data entered into the existing data tool I designed. For an explanation about what's on offer and to download the existing version see the following link:

Some ideas so far:
Achievement - Description

Taste of Combat - Fought a battle to conclusion.
I Really Need to Go to Bed Now - Fought at least one battle at all times of day.
Come Rain, Hail or Shine - Fought at least one battle during all different weather conditions.
Served On All Fronts - Commanded German Soldiers on the three fronts.
Not to be Trusted With the Keys - Lose more than 10 unarmoured vehicles in a single battle.
Caesar Would be Proud - As the Italians - win three battles.
Lots of Letters Home to Mother - Witnessed the deaths of 100 pixeltruppen. (Either side).
Killed More Than the Plague - Witnessed the deaths of 10 000 pixeltruppen. (Either side).
We Will Never Speak of This Again - Suffer a 'Total Defeat' against the AI.
Addicted - Played a total of 10 battles.
The Mrs Isn't Impressed - Played a total of 50 battles.
Probably Divorced - Played a total of 100 battles.
Grizzled Ancient - Played a total of 1000 battles.


Cheers guys and if there are any budding artists out there... thinking of getting Excel to add ribbons and medals to a uniformed chest as achievements are awarded. Just no idea yet if the program is clever enough to do that yet. :)

"Precision Guided" Munitions: In a black sea battle, accidentally shell own troops

Worse is Better Tovaritsch: As the Russians (BS) lose 5 battles to US forces

One Step Closer to Glorious Revolution: As the Russians, lose 10 battles to US forces (you might have to have dealt with old school marxist-leninists to find this funny, I don't know...)

Putin on the Ritz: As the Russians (BS), win 5 battles vs Americans

Death to the Capitalist Pig-dogs!: As the russians, win 10 battles vs Americans

Eat Pure Freedom!: As the Americans (BS), win 5 battles vs US forces

Team America: World Police: As the Americans, win 10 battles vs US Forces

Mission Accomplished: As the Americans, Lose 5 battles to the Russians (BS)

1,2,3 what are we fight'n for?: As the Americans, lose 10 battles to the Russians (BS)
 
Because you asked . . . .

Headless Horseman - lose 2/3's of your platoon leaders or squad leaders in a single battle (either side).
Chinless Wonder - lose all your commissioned officers in a single battle (either side).
Favored Mechanic - lose no armored vehicles in a single battle (either side).
Mechanic's Nightmare - lose all armored vehicles in a single battle (either side).

Bootie is right. My existing data tool records the battle parameters and details from the AAR screen. Nothing to do with individual officers etc getting picked off.

Focus around battle parameters and the info on the AAR screen. Please see the video in the link in the OP.
 
LOl, you got me, I don't think I've played a 1000. But it seems close after 4 years of constant battles! Trouble is, you and the others have seemingly thought of everything! I honestly can't come up with anything to add. But I'll keep at it.
 
Don't Touch the Barrel! - Kill 10 tanks in one match.
Jeepers Creepers, Where'd You Get Those Peepers? Kill 15 tanks in one match.
Wittman Who? - Kill 20 tanks in one match.

It's working!

Automated 'campaign ribbons' based on battle results entered from the AAR screens. Getting this whole record keeping workbook ready for CMFB, so last chance if you've got any crazy ideas for this. (Will still look at the ones posted on this thread already).
