Holy crap! I have been playing CM for long time. And after a normal bout of "I am just not that into CM", I am into it again and realized that there were lots of default CMx2 scenario am that I have not yet played. So, I decided to start playing the scenarios chronologically (scenario time). This means I start in Sicily playing Casa Nostra then Bad Day on Beach RED followed by Hot Mustard.

Funny thing: Hot Mustard has to be the biggest scenario I have ever played. I have an i7 processor. Normally, "computing the real-time action..." between turns takes seconds. With this scenario, it takes nearly 3 minutes to process a turn!

Is this the biggest CMx2 scenario? Which ones are bigger?
 
The full blown Frost at the bridge scenario in MG ( don't recall the exact name) is the only CMx2 scenario that never loaded for me and always led to a CTD. But FWIW, in beta testing scenarios for RT, I haven't had any problems with very large scenarios and maps. BFC keep making progress in processing effeiciency.
 
I hope so because it takes ages for me to load a large map. I would love to play a massive map from RT
