Go for Nvidia if you dont run Vista... that way you get fog... otherwise they are much the same IMO. I would certainly not rely on my advice alone though as different set ups affect the cards.

It plays every game i throw at it without a murmur..
Some older games like CM show their age occasionally, for example there's very slight banding in CM fog but its hardly noticeable and i always play with fog toggled off anyway
