As fighting rages in a once peaceful Normandy town, a lone Sherman 76 takes refuge behind a nearby chapel.

Spotting a rare opportunity, a PzKpfw IV J joined by a Jagpanther decide its time to add another tally to the kill list.

The Plan: The PzKpfw IV J will burn the rabbit out of the hole while the Jagpanther waits for a moment to strike

Red circle: PzKpfw IV J moves up and takes a shot.

Green circle: Jagpanther in hull down.

blue circle: The 76.

The PzKpfw IV J supported by Panzergrenadiers moves into position

Taking small arms fire, the PzKpfw IV J manages to keep cool and takes a shot.

The 76 cannot get LOS however, and decides to throw smoke and run for cover

Will hanz get his tally?? He patiently waits for his prey

Then out of the smoke comes the 76, totally unaware of whats awaits him!

Hanz screams into the mic and the Jagpanther roars to life! He fires a shot..

The thunder of the canon forces the grenadiers to hug the ground. The shell screams over them!

A loud explosion can be heard across the town as the 76 goes up in flames

Hanz cheers into the mic and the crew join in a short celebration.

yet another tally for Hanz and his crew.

Nice story! :)

Only for your information - > it's "Heinz" (short form of the German name Heinrich / English: Henry) written with a "z" but "Hans" is written with a normal "s" at the end. ;)

"Hans" is a German short form of the biblical name "Johannes" (Ioanis). --> So the German "Hans" is the equivalent to the English/American "John" or "Joe".

Haha I know I was kind of poking fun :D but i will remember that next time!

@Evan Great Stuff. Always good to see tactics in action - and working... Brilliant.

I was very lucky, talk about nail biting stress waiting to see if it would work.

It was taken from a battle I have currently ongoing vs. Baluka1974 from theBlitz.com, a very good opponent.

I want to post more from this battle later showing the right flank and the savage fighting involved there
