[Documentary] HMS Royal Oak

Since I don't understand the audio, I just watched the images of the wreck at the bottom of the sea and read about its sinking. Interesting is the buoy that marks the place of the sinking. Passing her must be moving.

The most interesting part was hearing the survivors tell their stories. War is always about the individuals who have to deal with it. When I was at Bagram AB in Afghanistan I remember the people and not really so much the mission. People are so much more important than any mission. No mission works without the people, all whom have real lives with real hopes and dreams. So sad that some came back and didn’t want live anymore. Bud was one of those who will be remembered by those he served with and were more than fellow servicemen, but friends. Miss you Bud!
