The people of East Timor celebrated the 8th anniversary of the restoration of Independence Day on 20th May 2010. The event was celebrated throughout the country with a range of festivities including a street parade and flag raising ceremony in the Capital of Dili. Thousands of East Timorese watched the parade as they celebrated the day their nation East Timor was given its sovereignty.
