22. Juni 1941: HQ Wolfsschanze: Operation Barbarossa will start in a few hours. I am standing in my bunker and stare at the ordnance map depicting the Bolshevik colossus. A nagging doubt creeps into my mind: Shouldn’t I have strengthened the central thrust? … Nonsense! We just have to kick the door and the whole house will collapse! And right: During the first weeks of operation Barbarossa my troops are cutting through the Soviet lines like a hot knife into butter.

But as the war lasts for some time the Russians are getting stronger and stronger. Will their resources never exhaust? If you don’t succeed until the end of 1942 the Russians will hammer your weakened units without mercy. Can YOU defeat the Soviet bear?

If you like operational wargaming on a huge hex field map you could enjoy this Android game. I purchased the full version (2,99EUR) some month ago and spent hours of playing with this perfect little game. Don´t expect the full scale of Grigsbys WAR IN RUSSIA. It’s more like a beer and brezel game. But with more features as you would expect at the first glance. No H2H available. A free test version is available to.

I play this game on my smart phone but would recommend it for tablet because of the huge map. However the game provides many visual aids to help you to manage your army.

Hooray! I did enter the international Hall of Fame!

rank #17 at world ranking list (difficulty level: normal).

I defeated USSR within 65 turns (=weeks).

Edit: Since every player can have multiple entries in the Hall of fame there are only 5 players with better results then me. So I am #6 of world ranking... Best player needed just 53 turns for victory.
