BATTLE 2: MESOPOTAMIA - White attack from Parthia -- @Badger73 vs @Rico -- Assyrian (681-609 BC) vs Babylonian (626-529 BC)
@Badger73 as Babylonian (626-529 BC) prevails over @Rico as Assyrian (681-609 BC) 64-50 / +14%. It was a touch-and-go battle that required annihilation of the opponent's army to secure any kind of victory. Routed Assyrians refused to rally betraying their Yellow Empire lord. Good game, @Rico!

MESOPOTAMIA returns to White benevolence and a reunited province. Peace reigns again in Persia and Pontica. ;)

WHITE Empire recaptures MESOPOTAMIA from YELLOW with a +14% Minor Victory.

BATTLE 6: SICILIA - Blue attack from Hispania - Nelson1812 vs @Badger73 -- Carthaginian (Hannibal in Italy) (216-203 BC) vs Roman (219-200 BC)

After a grueling battle... shield to shield... tusks to metal... the closing moments depended on an elephant not being turned into burgers, a group of soldiers rallying on the very edge of the board... but fortunately for me, my cavalry were close at hand... to push them over the edge and thus snatching victory! (60-55)

Fun game thanks Badger73.

Ready to start the penultimate round of this campaign, ROUND 9!

The WHITE Empire's dominance is still unbroken with 9 points, the rest scrabbling around the 4 - 6 points mark

GOLD a little tight this turn, with only WHITE and YELLOW with full 3-Gold treasuries.
BLUE has lost the CARTHAGO region income after losing CARTHAGE to YELLOW.

Sequence of orders for this round:
1. YELLOW (+40%)
2. RED (+20%)
3. WHITE (+14%)
4. BLUE (+5%)

YELLOW goes first -- spends 1 Gold to maintain fleet, attacks the BLUE capital in MAURETANIA and spends 2 Gold to attack again deep into the WHITE Empire's heartland: MESOPOTAMIA.
(Armies to be announced)

RED - @HOA_KSOP -- you're up next with orders.
