Fact..Who the F**K is Lulu some will Ask

I was 17 when she had that smash hit with 'Shout' in '65, and despite the song not being all that good, and despite her having a voice like gravel, we kids tended to like her because she was so different to the stereotype sweet-voiced squeaky-clean female singers who were around then.
In short, her bouncy rebellious image appealed to us, but sadly that was about the only hit she ever had.

Ha ha, the magical mystic fabled 1960's is not just a name to me mate, I was THERE..:)

Here's another 60's dame, Cilla Black from Liverpool, there were rumours she was shagging the Beatles but it was never confirmed.
The comic Bob Monkhouse said her singing sounded like "labour pains set to music" and I see his point, but to me it always seemed as if somebody was garrotting her from behind.
See what I mean in this vid, her voice is okay til 55 seconds in-

When you say "shagging the Beatles"... which one?... or all of them???... it was the swinging 60's after all...LOL.

Yes all of 'em, possibly at the same time.
Later, Paul McCartney was at it with Jane Asher (confirmed), and there was also a rumour that Cathy McGowan was at it with PJ Proby, Long John Baldry and Dave Berry, but whether all at the same time I'm not sure.

This sorry freak is me in '81, not exactly the 1960's but I looked about the same through most of the 60's to 90's..
