"Theirs is the Glory" was made in 1946, about the battle at Arnhem. It was made in Arnhem without actors, simply using the officers and men who were there, and mixing newsreel footage with reenactments. The acting is, understandably, very stilted
"They were not Divided" is a more conventional British war film made in 1950 about two officers training for, and then fighting in the Guards Armoured Div from just after D Day until the Ardennes. The first forty minutes or so are about their training and their personal lives. Thereafter it mixes newsreel film with the story. There are a lot of Shermans on view, and the action scenes are good although some look as if they were shot on Salisbury Plain rather than in Normandy.
