Army Shooting In Texas Army Base

Pretty bummed about this, I noticed no one posted anything on it so I thought I'd just spark up the conversation amongst the group. I am very sympathetic towards those wounded/killed over an over-zealous maniac. May he be condemned for this.

May those who are innocent rest in peace.

I was shocked to hear that this was not considered a terrorist act. As far as I see it he is emotionally connected with Terrorists and Religious Fanatics; which in my eyes is considered Terrorism. I hope they can dig deep on this guy and find whatever it is they can asap - And if they do not find any sort of connection politically, then deem it as Religious Fanaticism, which IMO is a form of Terrorism, since he is putting harm to those who disagree with his belief.
 
Details about the guy are still coming out, apparently he was investigated a while back about anti-US stuff he was posting on websites, they should have kicked him out of the military then.
Hey a few years ago another muslim in the American Army rolled a couple of grenades into his buddies tents and killed them, so muslims might appear peaceful most of the time but are liable to go bananas and explode at any time.

After all their Koran puts them up to it, giving them permission to kill anybody if they think have good cause-

And you're not a good muslim if you've got infidel friends-

Both incidents are major tragedies.

Unfortunately the misinterpreted beliefs of people who are brainwashed by means of pride/belief-religion will do things unjustified and wrong. This is goes [imo] w/ all people, of all faiths who kill or combat others for their beliefs to be spread/pushed through victory.

I feel for those who are at loss, unfortunately these fools who believe in their religion and convolute/misinterpret to use it as a guide to kill/destroy others is purely wrong in all factors. I hope those who were stuck in the incident come out ok, and those who are dead at peace.

Any group/belief that anyone goes too far, there is sickness (mental) involved.

But in terms of this fellow, and his beliefs...He is a Hypocritical/treasonous/moron! And with the belief he hails, and the times we live in...He makes things very very dim for those who want peace in their lives.

I'd like to stress my personal disgust for the issue, but in terms of this...Its beyond my personal ideals/etc. I just believe that this man is unstable, [unfortunately] Muslim, and slipped by the system due to his Rank in the Army...
 
Whether this guy was a terrorist or a nut case is not the issue now. Our socialist/communist president, who doesn't have any compassion for the families and friends of this tragedy, is week-ending in Camp David. He left early on Friday and I'm sure he was at the golf course at the correct tee-off time, today. What more can this piece of crap who thinks of himself as the Annointed One, the Messiah, do to belittle the military forces. He's their CIC, who hasn't even been a boy scout and who sees himself as above all else.
He should be at Fort Hood, spending time with the survivors, families and friends of those who have been slain and injured.
I'm so damn disgusted by his actions, I can't continue to write anymore.

I'll never understand why the Republicans fielded 'gramps' John McCain as their contender, the US public rightfully thought he was 10 years too old to withstand the rigours of being President
 
Big deal. He's a shitty CIC, and the armed forces think the same thing, even though they are prevented from saying it.
 
Enven used the same phrase that Pres. Obama used...tragedy. I can excuse Enven's use of the phrase, I cannot excuse the President of the United State's use of the word.

A tragedy is a disastrous circumstance or event, e.g. serious illness, financial ruin, or fatality. This act wasn't a tragedy, it was a mass murder and if it is discovered that the assailant's compulsion to commit the crime was propagated by his Islamic viewpoint, then it was a murderous terrorist attack.

The only tragedy is western societies refusal to accept that Islamist fundamentalism is the norm, not the exception. That does not mean that a majority of Islamists are willing to sacrifice themselves in Jihad, but it does mean you will never get a majority of Islamists to renounce Jihad.
 
I won't speak anymore political/belief related stuff on this thread. I just want to say RIP to those who passed due to a senseless death.
 
Enven, your commentary was fine. I was just using it to compare our Presidents reaction to the event. A reaction that was identical to your's.

In light of events that have unfolded since 9/11, there is an expectation that POTUS would respond to the event in a manner that might give us some insight to how he might react to a clear terrorist attack in the US. The POTUS has more at stake when he publicly comments on events such as these than casual observers, such as you and I.

These forums are for speaking your mind, so continue as you please.
 
There will always be those that feel the irrational behavior of others is justified due to their cultural background/social upbringing or the damn stars werent right that day. As an alumna of Virginia Tech, a 10 year veteran of the US Army, and a conservative business manager, I have seen the unmitigated CRAP that the media spews against our country when it gets attacked, either external or internally. The liberal press will always slant towards the perceived victim (ie the perpetrator), while trouncing the real victims (our liberties and rights). Maj Hadan Whatever....was a nut case, pure and simple, and to blame the war in Iraq/Afghan for his actions is ludicrious.
