Hi. My name's Rob and I'm a part-time wargaming addict. It started in my mid to late teens with boardgames like ASL, WW3, World in Flames and Ambush (solitaire). Growing up in a country town, there was a dearth of opponents, so I was happy to develop another addiction to computer games and the beauty (and curse) of AI opponents. Thus began my long on again and off again love affair with computer wargames. I don't always play wargames as my gaming cup runneth over - mainly thanks to continuous online sales - but I do love immersing myself in wargames from time to time and definitely love vicariously experiencing them by reading forums about wargames and military history.
I found my way here from the Battlefront forums. As you'd no doubt be aware, CMBN's Commonwealth module is due out soon and, while I hadn't played CMBN since midway through 2011, I felt the need to fire it up again and refresh my somewhat lacksadaisical abilities against whatever foe lurked on the other side of the battlefield. Also perusing a recent thread about some CMBN PEBM games, left me with thoughts that perhaps I might find an opponent with similar skill as I. My circle of friends, many of whom are avid gamers, don't enjoy the wargaming spark I possess.
Anyway, I'll take a look around as I love browsing wargaming forums albeit I'm not a prolific poster.
