Guys Ive been playing about today with the styles as you requested.

Dealing with StyleVars is a pain in the ass but I have come up with a draft one for you guys to look at... still a lot of work to do on it and something has went wrong during the process that has screwed up the display in the my profile/notifications & settings area. The forum works fine however.

Let me know if it is worth the hassle to continue or do you guys not like the style. May save me a lot of time.

Select it by going to the bottom left and choosing German from the drop down style. All criticism accepted. I have a big chin. :)
 
It's... blue. In an odd kind of way. Not bad, but I expected something else like Field Grey or Panzer Grey.
 
Not a problem Ted... give me as much feedback as possible though.. the more I get the better I can make it. I mean... i dont know what council forms look like so you'll have to elaborate. :)

What to change... what to leave... colours etc.
 
Don't much like the german colours you picked. Why not make it 999 999 grey that would look more german. I also like 336 600 olive I believe
 
How about something like this? The basic colours are from standard Windows Paint, it only took me 15 minutes to do this with a bit of colour tweaking-

Bootie, I have some experience with color schemes, and converting to hex colors. I had a resource (now lost on a dead PC) for hex values of almost every color. I will see if I can search for and find it. Also, if you have ideas for skins/themes and would like me to take a crack at it, I would be glad to do so. Just send me or post each element that needs to be edited. I do not need access to the forums. I can do up a template, and let you copy the values into your sandbox. I can also do icons and banner images. I would need a copy of a full set, to use as a model. Whatever you would like. (I would like to do a USMC skin, if I could.) Cheers

It's the colour that was wrong, To strong that Blue when
I said about the Council form it was very blue like that and
at the time not a good moment, I my self would like to see
as a sample the POS collection.....German field Grey or the American

Good luck with that mate
 
When in the german colour ...There is no area to type PMs etc ...the columns on the left show up but no area to type message...works ok in Camo etc??Are others having the same problem?

Everything looks OK from this end. I haven't noticed anything missing.
 
Incidentally Captain Bootie's got all the forum software in his cabin, only he knows how to tweak it, so all we can do is make suggestions and leave them for him to look at when he gets back from work or the pub..:)
