Going back to CM Helper.

I had been using IanL's 'Who's turn is it?' for a few months but I miss the chat, so I'm back using CM Helper so you all can now send insults during battle.

Still can't get CM Helper to work since upgrading to Windows 10.

Interestingly enough, an old version of H2HH works. So I just can't use it for my eastern front games.

CM Helper V 1.6.2 works for me with Windows 10.

I'm not on Windows 10 but CM helper stopped working after my work reconfigured my windows profile so I just resorted to manually copying files to DB which as you know is a royal pain in the arse. Just a few days ago I loaded "whos turn is it" and it is working for all my games...BN-FI and RT.

It's good to have options and it is great that guys take the time to write these programs and give them out freely.

I totally agree, people from this program CM Helper to the mod community to map designers who create scenarios should be applauded and appreciated for all the hard free work in most cases that they do for the CM community.

@Floki I had CM Helper stop working once and contacted GreenAsJade. If I remember correctly, he e-mailed me a small exe file to run which cleared it up.

For chat I just make a .txt file from notepad and stick it in the shared dropbox folder. Works okay doing that.

Yes, that works quite well. One of my regular opponents and I do that. My plan is to have Whose Turn Is It? use either a plain text file or be compatible with CM Helper so it can work with either method

Kind of how your "notes" file folder works I'm guessing. That would be a great addition.

That is the plan yes. I think I might go a bit further than allowing free form editing and show the read only chat and add a new comment with a time stamp to the bottom - but just using a plain text file so it could be hand edited if people wanted or if only one player had the tool.
