Hello everybody!

Sorry for the short intro

I found out about this site from the battlefront forums and am happy I did, as I would love to be part of this club of war gamers. After reading up on all the cmbn strategy guides posted by pooroldspike and generally reading every topic here, I'm glad to know your a nice, friendly bunch.

I love Playing CMBN and have decided to take it to multiplayer in the form of PBEMs. Mind you all, this is the first time I've attempted multiplayer in this game, but I'm fairly good at playing the game just from practicing with the AI. I also have CMSF if anyone likes to play that as well.

Another thing is that I'm not really sure how to set up a PBEM match so it'd be great if I could be shown how by somebody.
Anyway, I'm really looking forward to gaming and chatting with you guys and thanks to whoever made this great website full of useful info!

BTW what happened to pooroldspike? Did he ditch this place to join another community to play arma2?
In the last post I could find from him he was saying arma2 has a rts element that could actually be better than cmbn. Can anyone tell me if thats true?

Greetings LotusEater and glad that you have found our club. Dont worry about PBEM games. There are lots of players here that would love to teach you a thing or to about PBEM playstyle.

About PoorOldSpike. There was a disagreemant with him so he dicided to leave.

Welcome aboard, jump right in and have some fun, we have a great group of members here....

POS parted ways with FGM and we wished him luck...

Welcome aboard! I am unfamiliar with CMSF, so can't speak to pbem in that venue, but one thing that you must be concerned with in CMBN is the size of the files. Sometimes they can be larger than allowable by e-mail providers. Therefore many of us use Dropbox to circumvent the problem. Not to mention that if you use H2HH (Head to Head Helper) in conjunction with Dropbox, all file handling is done automatically. All you need do is launch the game and play your turns. Bootie posted an excellent 'How to' thread on that subject.

Welcome to the FGM! :D Hope enjoy what we have to offer and don't forget to contribute as well!

Thank you all for the warm welcomes! I'll read up on that guide and figure it out then. I'll contribute however I can, be it answering questions, writing guides making AARs and being a part of whatever happens around here. I'll post for a PBEM battle when I get my dropbox set up.
