Born in Amsterdam the Netherlands. Moved to Canada in 1957. Presently reside in London Ontario. Belong to a local miniature wargaming club. Semi-retired health care worker. Teaching part-time at Western University.
With respect to our hobby I've been wargaming since the age of six (that makes 56 years). It started with a Roman soldier that my Oma (grandmother in Amsterdam Netherlands) bought me. In my youth I collected Elastolin and Swoppet knight, later moved to board wargames as these arrived on the market beginning with Avalon Hill's Gettysburg and Waterloo. Many miniatures, boardgames and computer games later ... here I am.
I have reduced my hobby to only a few games and no longer own CMBB and CMAK, preferring the newer CMBN and CMFI. I also do WWI flight sims and enjoy the Total War series.
My purpose in hooking up with this group is to find someone to PBEM the CMBN and CMFI. I am an easy going player. Don't mind playing the weaker side in any scenario. No nationality preference. For me its about doing the best I can with what I've been dealt and enjoying the company of friends.
So, now to get on with trying to learn how things work around here ...
