Hello fellow wargamers,

I'm from Montréal (GMT -5) and, like many of you, have interest in military history and WW2. I've discovered CMBN thanks to the CW module but I'm a former Close Combat player so I prefer to play RT. Never tried the game online yet so I hope to meet you on the battlefield soon!

Cheers,

Greetings and welcome Serk. I played CC a long time ago and loved the series. I hope you find here what you are looking for.

eniced73, i played all the close combat series, mostly cc1 on the old msn gaming site, then cc2 on cases's ladder then tournament house. I was a beta tester for cc3 and played online campaigns against a couple of people in cc4 and cc5. I had over a 1000 games logged on cases ladder. Ahh those were some great gaming years :) I went by the call sign of Hammer in close combat.

Is Homba still over there? I probably played about 100 games against him :) I remember when he was just a rookie. Turned into one of the best CC2 I ever played and a great guy to boot.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

Close combat is still alive. Most player still playing it use gameranger (CCV and the re release mostly). It is the best place to find opponents right now and is available at http://www.gameranger.com. It would be great if CMBN was supported by gameranger. It is always possible to start a petition at their forum and maybe they will add it to their list of supported games!

Eniced73, I can't play this week but we could set something up for next week? I'm available most nights of the week.

Cheers,

Serk
