Hi guys, it's a pleasure to meet you.
Like most of you I am an avid historian. My primary interest over the years has been early American history from the 1600's through the American Civil War as I have found the beginning of my country and it's subsequent struggles and triumphs quite fascinating.
War gamming? What?! Of course!! From Avon Hill's (I'm old) 1776 (surprise), Luftwaffe and Squad Leader to Gringo! (The Mexican War 1846-1848) to SPI's Wellington's Battle of Waterloo, I too have had a card table perpetually set up in my office with something spread out on it. Ahh, the good old days of hexes and dice.
CMBO. CMBB. CMAK. It's just keeps getting better. Except me naturally. Find, fix, and flank is for some other guy. Charge!, press on regardless, and damn the torpedo's is more my style.
Looking forward to crossing swords, En Garde!
