The main advance along the central highway has bogged down significantly. It seems to have hit an American strong-point based on a farm complex and adjacent woods and orchards about one kilometer from the scenario's objective - the hamlet of Le Rocher.
001. - 005. The Panzergrenadiers slowly infiltrate the woods to the right of the road in an attempt to clear it of any more Americans who might otherwise ambush the following vehicles. Every yard forward is paid for in German blood as Americans, hidden in foxholes ambush the Grenadiers. Only after the Americans open fire are they spotted by the advancing Germans. Each advance leads to the discovery of more foxholes. Obviously an American strongpoint.
006. After the Grenadiers in the woods have drawn even with the farm complex across the road, they halt and wait for the farm to be cleared. Two PzKfw IV plus one Stummel now cautiously advance even with teh orchard where stubborn Americans continue to fire upon the Grenadiers in orchard from hidden positions. The Grenadiers have suffered significant casualties in the orchard.
007. Although they have taken casualties, the Americans continue to hold onto all three farm buildings and remain dug-in behind the adjacent hedge overlooking the orchard. Their positions behind the stone wall have been eliminated.
008. This American hero refused to budge for a long time until the Stummel firing on his position finally caused him to retreat at which point the unfortunate was gunned down my MG fire from one of the Panzers.
009. Hoping that any bazooka teams in the area have been silenced, the panzers now move forward to eliminate the last resistance in the farm.
