My brothers and I enjoy traveling and touring various battlefields either on our own or, preferably, guided.
What with CoVid and travel restrictions @Bootie (or Shane as he’s known to the to the normal world ) joined a company called “Battle Guide Virtual Tours that I’ve taken a few virtual battlefield tours with.
Great stuff by the way. A good 90 minutes or more and by the end gives you a real feel for the battle and the fever to get back on to the field and “actual” reality.

One of the tour I took was of Stalingrad focusing on the fight for Mamayev Kurgan, the dominant height overlooking the city, with a guide named Dr Matthias Strohn.
He was excellent and I was very impressed by his knowledge and delivery.
If the Battle Guide site has it as a “catch up” I highly recommend it.
He also does on the ground tours for a company called The Cultural Experience.
They do many types of tours including battlefield tours.
I was surprised by the amount tours and areas of interest that they provide.
As much as I would like to go on them all there’s the time and money element. (They are a tad expensive)
So I picked a few that I would like to go on most but I’d be lucky to do one.
The American Civil War has a bonus in that we can stop @Meat Grinder house for a beer and BBQ. Of course he may be a bit surprised to have a van full of thirsty tourists show up on his door
Anyway, below are a few tours I’d really enjoy going on.
My brothers and I are focusing on the Civil War and Italy.
Perhaps an FGM tour someday?
If so, which would you choose?
