yes they are, my father begun the ww2 collection with the manglinchers and I followed his steps ten years ago! Used to hunt with the 98 but almost got arrested because the 7.62 cal ammo is forbidden in my country, since that incident I no longer take them out.

@Louis, agreed, I would trade the tommys and the garand for MP40s, MP44s...I dream with the MG42...
@Corsaire31, hahaha no rabbit got shot, we hunted wild boars those are some nasty bastards!

@VR, the 98 was made in Checoslovakia, the serial no. matches.

Both Thompsons are fully auto, they are just too damn hardcore, shooting .45 cal in fullauto is pure heaven.

My only gripe with the Garand is the weight, its damn heavy, Im no wimp but hats off to the GIs that used them at war, they are damnn accurate, even 70 yrs later...

I have a bayonet for the K98.....my father in law has a K98..waiting for him to eventually sell it to me....8mm isn't illegal here, he shoots it at his farm all the time..

As far as weapons are concerned in the US, "illegal" starts with 105 mm ???

When I was in Kansas and Nebraska in the 70s, I remember hunting coyotes with a .30 Winchester. Unbelievable in Europe, you need open space...lol
