Lads, I'm having trouble, when I open CMH I get this error message below.

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<string>", line 6, in <module>
File "__main__.py", line 128, in <module>
File "__main__cmh__.py", line 125, in <module>
File "controller.py", line 51, in __init__
File "appstate.py", line 52, in __init__
File "permadict.py", line 29, in __init__
File "permadict.py", line 79, in load
ValueError: File not in a supported format.

'Who's turn is it?' keeps on asking to find all the CM installs.

Frustrating

@Nathangun For WTII go to preferences and then turn analysis and add your CM games. Basically you are telling the program where the .exe file is for each CM game you own. I think CM helper does that automatically but for WTII you have to do it manually.

If CMH gets a bit confused (!), try this from GaJ's help site (here: http://gregories.net/CMHelper/User Manual/CMHelper.html )

b. Delete CMH's AppState.txt file

At the top of the log window (Options->Show Log Window) CMH tells you where the log file is stored - the AppState.txt file is in the same place. If you can't access the log file, you will need to search your disk for AppState.txt.

Under Windows it is usually in a place like:

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\GreenAsJade\CMHelper\

Under OSX it is usually in a place like:

/Users/username/Library/Application Support/GreenAsJade/CMHelper/
The "AppState.txt" file (remembers settings, and controls how CMH works, I think ...) will be created again the next time CMH is run ... all your battles will still be there, but this process can often work to get rid of glitches in CMH if it has gone awry somehow ...

Whose turn is it does not automatically find your installs. You have to point it in the right direction. It should automatically get the files directory and icon correct if you point it to the .exe file for the game. See these instructions on how to do the intial setup:
http://www.lesliesoftware.com/products/WhoseTurnIsIt/gettingstarted.html Just say yes to opening the preference dialog and follow the steps on that getting started guide. I'll watch here if you run into any other trouble.

Excellent thanks @Floki. Yes, both have their advantages and disadvantages. WTII can be used with a new CM release with out waiting for me to do anything - because you are in charge of telling it where the games are. CMHelper has a mechanism to manually do it to but for the automatic detection you have to wait for Green as Jade to update the software.

I tried to make things easy by automatically determining the game files directory based on the .exe selected (there are two standard locations that have been used which vary by game title) I tried to make it easy to do yourself. Apparently not quite perfectly based on the OP's message.
