Hello from Scotland, Im Bootie's brother in law and have signed up as we intend to resurrect our family rivalry across the battlefields of CMx1. In time once I blow of the cobwebs I might get round to facing of against other people... but first on my hitlist is Bootie.

I think you must consider getting involved also with CMx2 series of games,as we have lots of great tourneys running.

Joining this community was the right decision because Combat Mission is at it's best when played against other humans - NOT ONLY AGAINST YOUR BROTHER IN LAW! LOL!!! ;)

And Cargol is absolutely right - it's time for CMx2! :cool:


In our download section you will also find a lot of new scenarios to play against the AI.

Enjoy the club and become a part of our community - there are many reliable gaming partners here, plenty of stuff to
check out and good people to meet. :)



My good advice to all new recruits for playing H2H matches in a community:

1. Don't think too much about your opponent or the ladder - play your game as if it was against the AI.
2. Win with equanimity, lose with a smile.
3. It's a long way to the top and you will be defeated many times - accept it and learn from your mistakes. ;)
4. It's only a GAME. :cool:
 
Welcome here! And no, You haven´t to be involved in CMx2. We have another great CMx1 tournament coming. ;) Sorry Cargol! Couldn´t resist! :D

Good to see the family involved. Now you do understand that we refer to Amelia as the 'Princess' and unless you're her 'Uncle King Kong', she is due all the respect her rank deserves. In case you didn't know, 'Uncle King Kongs' have special dispensation to tread on all protocols.

It is a bit of a blast from the past!!! after a few games I will be happy to play anyone will be easy points for you all :)
 
Welcome Capt Scotland! Just a small hint. At least try CM2 as it really is a blast. :).
 
I played CM2 on a crappy laptop for years. Just lower all settings to the worst and it even runs on very old systems. That way he wouldn't get distracted by fancy graphics or has to get used to as it will look a bit as the good old CM1 ;-).
