Hi folks!

Happy to join as a new member!
So far only starting to struggle my way through the regular campaigns (CMBN/MG), loosing far too many good men, but what a joy it is!
Looking forward to engage on a my first PBEM game sometime really soon!

Cheers!
Ben

Hello Ben, welcome to THE FEW GOOD MEN!
Good to have you with us! :)

Joining this community was the right decision because Combat Mission is at it's best when played against other humans. ;)
But in our download section you will also find a lot of new scenarios to play against the AI.

Enjoy the club and become a part of our community - there are many reliable gaming partners here, plenty of stuff to
check out and good people to meet. :)

Welcome aboard Mate! I'm of the opinion that when you play against a live opponent, this game truly shines.

Welcome Ben.
Coming from Holland have you played the Market-Garden scenarios and then go to all the sites?
My father was with the gliders outside of Son.
Interesting to hear from your connection to the operation!
Getting a quite a beating now in the third mission of the road to Nijmegen.
I do live myself 8 km from Arnhem and many of the mission sites are quite familiar to me.
My mum's father actually owned the ferry connection across the Rhine river at the village of Huissen, a couple of kilometers upstreams the Rhine from Arnhem and one of his contributions to MG was that he purposely scuttled the ferry across the Rhine, next a German convoy which wanted to cross were furious, my granddad claimed that allied bombers had sunk the ferry (Actually there had been a bombing run there some time previously) and he got away with that..
When the MG module came out of course I wanted to have it.
Have you ever been yourself to Holland and seen some sites?

I live 10 km South of Nijmegen :)

Yes but it was a long time ago.
When I was in the Air Force in 1976 I had a few months temporaryy duty in Germany.
Several friends and I took the train several times to Amsterdam.
I was too young to think about all the beautiful details the City had to offer.
We went mainly went to the canal district and did things 19 year old boys do when on leave. ;)
I look forward to returning with my wife and spending our time enjoying more of the historical and cultural sites that Holland has to offer.
