Hello from the cold and snowy state of Kansas. I'm retired from the U.S. Coast Guard (Yeoman) and currently work as a civilian federal employee with the Coast Guard.

I have a fairly long history of military gaming both in simulations and general FPS shooters (ex: Call of Duty), though now that I'm approaching my mid 40's, I rarely game with the action FPS shooters other than ARMA III ( because I get owned by the kiddies!.)

I've also, very recently, become interested in miniature war gaming. I generally play around with the great offerings over at Two Hour Wargames (Nuts!, 5150 Star Army etc.) since they are very playable solo. However, I also play Flames of War with another person over at Roll20 which is an online virtual table top mainly for RPG's, but it works fairly well for FOW, check it out if you're interested. The guy I play with (Tom) is starting up a Bagration campaign, and looking for more players for his wargaming group.

I have CM:BN the base game (ver 2.12), and CM:SF with the Marines expansion. I'm looking to get into some PBEM games. However, my experience with the CM games is pretty limited, just like my "tactics" are likely to be, lol!

I also have Flashpoint Campaigns: Red Storm, and Conflict of Heroes w/ the Ghost division expansion if anyone plays those games.

See you around!

Thanks for joining the club and welcome. You will have no problems getting opponents to play your games. Enjoy the wargaming.

Greetings and welcome

I also play Flames of War ;)

You should check out the Roll20 link I listed in my OP for FOW. While it's not the same as pushing around mini's, it not bad. I'm really just learning FOW, and I've only played it a couple of times on Roll20.

Welcome aboard Russell.
Now how does one work for the Coast Guard living as far from any coast than any other place in the U.S. ;)

Lol... I hear that one a lot! The main pay center for the Coast Guard is located here in Kansas.

Hello Russell, welcome to THE FEW GOOD MEN!
Good to have you with us! :)

Joining this community was the right decision because Combat Mission is at it's best when played against other humans. ;)
But in our download section you will also find a lot of new scenarios to play against the AI.

Enjoy the club and become a part of our community - there are many reliable gaming partners here, plenty of stuff to
check out and good people to meet. :)

Welcome Sir! I had an uncle once in the Guard, station in New Orleans for quite some time (he retired 4 years back to take care of his mother, whadda guy).
