I'm trying to use a No CD patch so I can play without having to insert the damn disk everytime but I having problems making it work. I'm going crazy here. Help!!!!!
Extract the zip and then open that folder.
Drag the files from that folder into either your CMBB folder or if it is CMAK the 'Run' folder.
Overwrite the files.
Next right click on the .exe file and save a link to desktop.
Finito... go to desktop double click the file and your off... hopefully.

Actually, I found out that I can play PBEM without ever having to use the CD. I don't have a No CD patch. Not sure how that works . . . but it does!
I'm also playing IL2-1946 this way. Maybe it's because I put the full install of each game on my system? Or, could it have something to do with starting as admin with Vista?

If you do a full install i believe you are allowed to play multiplayer without the CD, so you can install it on your home network and have TCP/IP matches etc without the need to buy 2 copies of the disc.
For the new digital downloads battlefront do they allow you 2 licenses per purchase, so you can give one to a friend or install it on a 2nd PC
