HI
I have been onto the battle front site and am trying to upgrade my version of CBMN as i have 2.11 at the mo, but can not find on there site the upgrade for 3.0 as a down load.
I did try to down load 3.11 but it will not open?, also do i have to pay for this upgrade of the game as i can not see anywhere that you have to pay, or do you have to down load the game again to get the upgrade?.
Also where can i find the CMhelper i have been told about, that helps with loading the add ons?
Thanks
Darren

Ok now i found it on there site, but a bit shocked to find i have to pay again for 3.0 that fixes some of the bugs within the game, sorry think this is a con, the game as it is has a few problems, so they work on sorting out the bugs.
I paid over £60.00 for the game and then asked to keep paying for fixes!.
Ok i can understand for packs but not bug fixes !!!!.

Yes, Combat Mission seems to be a rather expensive franchise. Good news is though that they don't charge you for bug fixes. New features are always added with every paid upgrade, such as hit decals, flamethrowers, infantry riding on tanks, etc. The downside of it is that it doesn't really feel like I have a choice wether I upgrade or not: if I want to play multiplayergames, I am in a way forced to upgrade because everyone else does. With the price of the base game being quite high, one would hope for a lower upgrade-price. But it is what it is. Battlefront has developed a unique product that is one of a kind in its niche. That means that they have a lot of freedom regarding the pricing of their products.

I use H2HH by GreenAsJade for CM, not sure if that is the same thing is CMhelper. But it does the same thing. It works great. You can find it here:

I agree with you, why should you pay them just to get updates that sort out problems that are in the game, i did not have to pay when i up dated the game from 1.0 to 2.0, it not even if they are giving you anything new that should have been in the game from the start.

That's not quite what I meant. I said that the bug fixes (3.00 tot 3.10 to 3.11 etc) are free. The game engine upgrades (1.x to 2.x to 3.x) are upgrades you have to buy, but they come with new features to justify a price tag. What I said was that in my opinion that price tag is a bit high, considering how expensive the base game is.

Hi
I have been on to there site and looked at update to 3.0, but when i looked they want $10.00 for this, when i last updated the game from 1.0 to 2.0 it cost nothing.
Also when i did try to update the game from 2.0 to 3.0 and went to pay for it it came back with this is said there sever was not secure HTTPS was crossed out?

Sorry if i have been a little bit ticked off about this ,it's been a long time since i played the game and only really got back in to it a while back, so was a little shocked to have to pay for an update.

OK i took the plunge and paid for the update, so now i am on to 3.11, very happy the way the game now runs.

The only thing is a lot of my battle's are faded out now and i can not play them and some of my campaign games will not work, it says i need i get Market garden /Commonwealth ?

I have Commonwealth on my game, so i do not understand why it is asking me for this ?, MK i not that bothered about playing yet, But one of the campaign i had been playing and save now needs MK to play.

Is this right?

The latest version of the game has some new copy protection / sharing capability built in ... one effect of implementing that is that you need to re-activate, under the new version, any modules that you already have ... there is an info screen on BF's website that tells you this, IIRC ....

In short, you need to run the "activate new products" shorcut and input the licence key for the old module (even though it was already working before ...) Do that for any and all modules, and they will all reappear as available.
