My guess: It's the Yorktown at Pearl Harbor - see the damaged battleship in the background.
Drydocked, undergoing repairs after the battle of Coral Sea. The date in the pardoned text supports that.
The ship was hastily repaired to sail off into the battle of Midway, where she would play a key role in defeating the Japanese fleet - and be lost.
