The photo that is displayed under the FGM logo on the front page looks like the gang from Hogan's Heroes.

I realize that, numberz, just trying to lighten things up a bit. I'm a Vietnam era US airforce vet (loadmaster on C-130's) so I do appreciate the sacrifices made by these guys.

So you were a flying wharehouse manager?

I think its a diservice to call him a warehouse manager... I dare say its a lot tougher and a mistake can be catastrophic. :plane:

well I think flying around in a large plane with piles of cargo, keep in certain order to be thrown out the back for the troops at the right time. Is very simular to a warehouse manager, who has to keep stock in certain order to be shipped out at just the right time to who ever wants it.

Yeah, sure, its the same thing...... If the loadmaster makes a big mistake, men die. If a warehouse manager makes a big mistake a customer doesn't get his load of ball point pens until the next day. Same thing.

There you go again, Numberz, opening your pie hole and look where it gets you. Man, one would think that you might have learn something throughout your life. Let me ask you a question, Numberz? Have you ever serve in the military? And BTW, it's warehouse, not wharehouse. Even dummies know how to use spell check. Oh and be sure to read my story as it unfolds. I'm sure you'll learn something from it.

....as my name implies...I have had dealings with some loadmasters in my time (not just jump masters). They knew more about the load characteristics of their payload than the flight crew (pilot & co-pilot) We had to submit load plans to these fine gentlemen in order to get our beans and bullets to the other end, and if it was off they'd let us know about...."Cubed out"....a phrase I still shudder at....that and the fact that 463-L pallets are NOT meant to be used for overhead cover!

Looks like the Canadian/American war has erupted again. lol:yield:

Incidentally Numberz, if you're still in charge of doing the ladder, why have you given me 28 points more than I'm entitled to, it was my birthday a couple of days ago so was it a present?
Also why don't some peoples won/lost/drawn totals add up to their 'Played' figure?- (POS, Lord Bane,Jonny,Nort,Hedgehog,Richard)

I never thought of using the 463-L pallets as cover. Thankfully, I didn't need them at the time.

PS-if anybody's wondering why Wardog's "Loadmaster Story" has gone from the Reading Room, its been temporarily withdrawn because he wants to add photos and more comments to it..:)
