I am a keyboard snob.

If the Logitech disappoints, I'll buy a Keychron Q6.

And I'm already experiencing buyer's remorse.

I bought one of these recently. Like the downsized keyboard as I've never had any use for the number keypads.
Plus, I like the key color combinations so it looks purdy. It was <--- $25 IIRC.
Mine doesn't have all those light blue colored keys. (ugh)
Actually, here's a RL picture too. Hmm. Should have cleaned the board before I took the pic. To the naked eye it
looks clean.
Before you ask that's a 2 oz silver replica of a Winchester cartridge circa 1870 +/-. Oh, and that pink card is a hotkey
reference for communication for World of Tanks. "cause I forgit s***.

Replace a type M? That doesn't compute.

Myself I am using custom ordered WASD keyboards with cherry red or blue switches.

Never mind the keyboard. I had a toggle switchbox very similar to that 20 years ago. I think bought it from Radio Shack.

Awesome.

Actually, I think that's where I got my toggle switch box. LOL
I haven't replaced it because it still works just fine and it's perfect for my desk. Looked for a replacement
but don't think they make 'em like that any more. Sorta like me.

Mine had a built in "subwoofer", IIRC.

Yours could use a good scrubbing. ;-)

I'm sure some of you laughed at my Model M keyboard comments.

If I can add a "Windows" key, then I see no reason to switch to another keyboard.

I went ahead and ordered this one:

Reason I went with this version is I didn't want the "knob" or any other multimedia controls. I just want a high quality mechanical keyboard with a "Windows" key.

Looks pretty nice actually. One thing I didn't get clarity on is can you swap the "option" and "swirly gig" keys for "alt" and Windows keys?

Pretty sure you can swap anything on these Keychron keyboards.

If memory serves, you are a Mac guy?

No, Windows actually. Thanks for highlighting that image - I missed the extra keys. Those are just want I was looking for. All their pictures are Mac configured keyboards and switch or not switch I would not spend money on a key board that made it hard for me to figure out what the keys did :)

Gotcha. I too will be swapping the "swirly thing" keys for the Windows keys, and the "option" keys for the Alt keys.

I think I'll keep the red ESC key though.
