and here's a quote at struck me, "Recent opinion polls suggest the Arizona law has wide backing there, but it has caused outrage in Mexico, whose citizens make up three-quarters of the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants living in the US.".

That is over 50% more of the Irish population !
 
Who cares if it causes outrage in Mexico.

Any decent government, the only way to solve any immigration problem is through bilateral agreement, the only other way would be to station troops/police every 10m across the border, obviously rather impractical
 
Perhaps the troops are placed there to keep out the drug war raging just on the other side of the border....

Appearentky it is just as hard for the US border patrols to keep illegal immigrants out as it is to keep weapons inside the US: most of the weapons used by the druggangs come (illegally imported) from the US...
